DREAM II Product Family

DREAM II SatelliteAV provides an enhanced DAW with a tactile editing controller capable of 192 track recording, editing, full access to the CC-1 mixing engine and integrated video. SatelliteAV delivers up to 230 dedicated processing channels into 72 busses as well as a monitor matrix and support for up to 212 physical inputs and outputs. SatelliteAV sets a new benchmark for enhanced DAW performance and provides the most compact and powerful production system available today.

DREAM II Station^Plus adds extended tactile control over the channel signal processing, bussing and monitoring functions and an optional 12 fader sidecar means that there is hardware control of all mixing functions including surround panning.

DREAM II Constellation-XT is a large format mixing system that can be configured with a variety of panels and footprints to make the control surface of your choice. Configurations can be as large as 7 Bays with 60 faders or as compact as a 2 Bay with 12 faders. The Constellation-XT surface is designed to support large project mixing in formats up to 7.1 and automation of over 60,000 mix parameters. Tactile control is provided for all commonly accessed functions and the optional In-Line Panel allows the surface to be presented in a traditional “channel strip” configuration. Constellation-XT is dedicated to providing centralized control of all studio functions including recording, editing and mixing and is widely considered to be the most productive post-production system available today.

DREAM II Anthem is Fairlight’s award winning multi configurable console. Anthem can operate in three discrete modes: Split, In-line or Constellation. Split and In-Line map the mixing resources to perfectly emulate classic style consoles. These modes are ideally suited to music recording and mixing tasks where operators can work in a familiar and creative way. Constellation-XT mode switches the console into post-production mode where resources are mapped to optimize stem style mixing and audio for video style operation. Anthem is for studios that aspire to support a diverse client base and do not want to compromise on the facilities they offer.

    CC-1 Engine

Fairlight’s Revolutionary Crystal Core Engine is a PCIe card that is installed in any compliant host PC operating Windows XP^TM.

The CC-1 Engine forms the basis of a variety of powerful systems, from simple low-cost recording/editing platforms to massive large format consoles with integrated Hi-Definition video. Since CC-1 runs on a standard Windows PC, the system plugs seamlessly into virtually any existing IT infrastructure. However, no other PC hosted system provides the power and dedicated performance of the CC-1 engine. CC-1’s architecture allows multiple engines to be linked to form massive systems, providing a level of scalability that far exceeds any other competing platform.

    SX-20

Fairlight’s SX-20 is a versatile “Sync I/O Toolbox”, and is a required component of any base CC-1 system. The SX-20 includes two Microphone/Instrument preamps plus two additional balanced analogue inputs, 12 balanced analogue outputs, four digital inputs and eight digital outputs. In addition, SX-20 includes powerful simultaneous independent multi-machine 9-pin control, with Fairlight’s industry leading precision and accuracy.

If that isn’t enough, SX-20 provides for Sync at any frame rate including HD Tri-level sync, Video Sync, Word clock, AES and LTC. The unit also generates LTC at any standard rate. When combined with CC-1, SX-20 provides all the capabilities required for a wide variety of audio production and post-production tasks.

    Dream II Anthem

Fairlight’s DREAM II Anthem is a fully featured digital audio mixing console with high-end automation and processing that provides an experienced user with a suite of familiar operational modes found in many popular high-end music and post consoles. It is aimed at audio facilities who wish to diversify and attract both music and post production work - Anthem provides a console designed specifically for both applications with each “mode” being instantly reconfigurable.

    Dream Constellation

The Dream II Constellation is a fully featured digital audio mix console with high-end automation and processing that provides the same level of operation and functionality found in dedicated large-format digital audio mix consoles. However the Dream II Constellation also includes a fully integrated 192 track disk recorder and editor, and is delivered at significantly lower cost and with an even higher degree of user-adaptability.

    Dream Satellite-AV

Satellite-AV is the planet's most powerful and productive audio for video post production system and is powered by Fairlight’s amazing new CC-1 FPGA media processing engine. It combines legendary ‘Fairlight-fast’ editing with an array of recording and mixing features. The essence of its power lies in the seamless integration of essential production tools such as non linear video and plug-ins delivering a truly compact but all-encompassing post system. Satellite-AV includes a fully featured disk recorder and editor that can be scaled up to 192 tracks, DREAM II multi format surround mixing system, optional PyxisTrack non linear video, an in-built audio bridge to VST compliant plug-ins and full ReWire implementation for audio streaming from other ReWire enabled sound design tools. In summary Satellite-AV is a digital audio workstation with integrated recording, editing, mixing, video and plug-ins support designed to streamline and simplify all aspects of the audio for video post production process to a degree previously unavailable.

    Dream Station^Plus

The Dream II Station^Plus is a complete solution for the smaller studio undertaking full production and mixing of the majority of short form, commercials and radio work, it is also part of the Dream II Family of products and is the ideal partner to the Dream II Console as part of a multi-room production system in a larger facility. The Dream II family, that also includes the Dream II Satellite-AV, provides a flexible, scalable solution that works in any number of configurations, for any size facility. It has been designed with the realities of the media industry in mind: it is more cost-effective than any other comparable post production system available today, and its flexibility and scalability will make it an essential choice for all types and sizes of audio post facilities.

    SX-48

Fairlight’s SX-48 Signal Exchange extends the CC-1 platform with flexible and cost-effective I/O. Up to FOUR SX-48 units can be connected to a single CC-1 card via MADI providing up to 192 channels of discrete I/O per engine. The SX-48 is designed to accommodate all standard sampling frequencies from 44.1Khz to 192 KHz. Fairlight’s renowned I/O can be installed in eight channel modular blocks, allowing numerous combinations of up to six cards of analogue and/or digital I/O to be mixed together in each SX-48 unit or added later if required. The SX-48 locks to external Sync at any frame rate and accepts HD Tri-level sync, Video Sync, Word-Clock or AES as references. Your browser may not support display of this image.     PyxisTrack

PyxisTrack is an Integrated SD or HD video option available for all DREAM II systems.

PyxisTrack provides an integrated SD or HD video file player hosted on the CC-1 platform. The PyxisTrack output appears in the editing screen centralizing all audio and video references in one logical area.

PyxisTrack is a video file player which can play OMF, AVI, QuickTime, Mpeg2 files from a local drive or stream over a network.

PyxisTrack supports the Decklink card options for Genlock.
